We love the Desert, we live in the Desert and we love to share the Desert We take you nowhere and show you nothing (OFF THE BEATEN TRACK) |
We started as tour operators in July2002, with our main obective to do tours in the Richtersveld, an area close to our heart for which we have developed a passion. After being qualified and registered as a tourist guide in South Africa we moved to Springbok from where we operated for quite a few years. We started doing tours into the Richtersveld area but it soon expanded to being the rest of Namaqualand as well as the area have got so much to offer . With the exspansion into the greater Namaqualand came the interest along the West Coast of Namaqualand, and into Bushmanland. We never stopped learning and soon the Augrabies falls were on our doorstep, and that basically included the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park. Soon after that Namibia were in our sights but we first had to register as foreign operators which we did and that opened e new horizon. Soon after that we were invited to start doing tours in Botswana, the Botswana Kalahari where we work with the local communities in the area and bring tourists from South Africa. After a few years of working this area we moved our base to the West Coast and now operate from Hopefield, a small town about 120km from Cape Town and that opened the West Coast area for us. I got myself qualified as a marine guide to accommodate the closeness of the Atlantic ocean and being qualified through FGASA meant a lot more than just being a tourist guide. So now the area where we operate expands from Cape Town, along the West Coast, inland through the Cederberg Mountains, into the Tankwa Karoo, across Bushmanland, into Southern Botswana and last but not least Namibia, from south to north, yaeh and we are still learning more everyday.
